We are a dog-friendly orchard. Dogs must be on a leash or held, “NICE & FRIENDLY”, and current with their vaccinations. If your dog does not have these qualifications, please leave them in the car or at home. Also, please bring those cute little pick-up bags. In other words, you are responsible for your dogs droppings.
THERE ARE DUMPSTERS IN THE PARKING LOT FOR YOUR DOGGY BAGS, BABY DIAPERS, & GARBAGE.

There’s also a large casino about 5 miles away in Rockford.

ABOUT US
We are a 35 acre family-owned orchard with approximately 5,000 apple trees. You have a choice of either picking your own apples or purchasing pre-picked apples in our store. We do, however, usually pick our own Honey Crisp and they’re also in the store while they last. Also available to pick in season: rhubarb, raspberries, (both summer and fall), blueberries, cherries, red, white and black currants and blackberries (in the summer),We make our own 100% pure cider – no additives. Slushies are available of course made with our oh- so- refreshing cider. We also have yummy cider donuts, delectable apple pies, really good cinnamon bread, scrumptious caramel apples and to die for fudge. Our store offers many fall decorations, linens, candles, and other unique items for your home. You will find a variety of jams, jellies, salsas, honey, squash, pumpkins, gourds, and much, much more.

BAKERY
We have our scrumptious apple cider donuts, delicious apple pies, many flavors of yummy, delectable fudge, delicious apple -cinnamon bread (without raisins) that make great french toast, oh- so- good caramel apples plus 100% pure apple cider. We have wonderful muffins and new refreshing apple cider slurpies. Call ahead and reserve your tantalizing bakery, if you want to make sure and not be disappointed (especially during the weekends) when we could run out.
(Bakery is only during the fall apple season.) It will be available usually the last week of August.
TOURS / DIRECTIONS
TOURS: We will be having tours for schools, seniors, girl and boy scouts, and special groups. Our tours require a minimum of 10 people; however, you don’t have to have 10 people but you will be charged for 10. Teachers and chaperones will not be charged. We try to customize the tours to your needs; such as apple or bee/honey education, etc.
Please contact Cathy, 815-332-9696, to schedule your tours. We do try and make them fun and interesting.
Live music tomorrow, Sunday, September 24th at noon! Don`t be a square, come listen to the cool sound of The Plaid Shirts! "4 old guys" playing the best from The Beatles, Tom Pretty, 60`s, and 70`s. It`s gonna be a good time.
This weekend at Valley Orchard, our new U-Pick apples are Crunch-A-Bunch, Jonathan, Pixie Crunch, and Senshu! You can still pick Honey Crisp, McIntosh, and Snow Sweet. There are many pre-picked varieties in our store too.
Stop by and grab some of our delicious apple cider donuts. They go great with our apple cinnamon bread, taffy apples, and fresh apple cider! An apple-everything meal! Yummy!

We need cashiers to help in our sales barn. You will help customers, run registers, stock shelves, answer phones, etc
We need help in our bakery. You will help make donuts and apple pies, clean dishes, jug honey, prepare fudge, etc.
We need help in our orchard. You will help with a long list of tasks, including mowing, apple picking, weeding, watering, digging, etc, etc

We will begin picking blueberries and raspberries this Saturday! Unfortunately, our cherries are now done for the season. We also do not have currants this year but plan on planting new bushes next year. We will be closed Tuesday to celebrate the Fourth of July.
